Braidwood Bakery Adventure Ride
On the Sunday the 2nd of July, the DSMAR ACT branch will be running a one day adventure ride along the lines of the infamous Braidwood Bakery Run. The first leg of starts at Hoskinstown travels through Tallaganda, stops for lunch at the Braidwood Bakery then continues through Monga and Tallaganda (again), finishing up at the Captains Flat Pub. Both legs are about 120km in length.
The ride will follow gravel roads and fire trails, with some technical sections, rock hills and creek crossings – the ride would suit the novice looking to step up to something more challenging, or the experienced rider looking for a ride with a bit of variety.
The ride is open to all comers, enduro, trail and adventure bike of all types. Bikes will need a minimum range 120km, fuel will be available at Braidwood. 50/50 knobby tyres are recommended – if its damp TK 70’s won’t cut it!
