If you are keen to get into multi-day adventure riding but didn't know where to start, this ride might be for you. A relatively easy ride to Gloucester on Saturday and return on Sunday. The ride is Grade 2 mainly due to distance.
We will meet at The Corrugated Cafe at Peat's Ridge for stands up at 9:15am SHARP. Fuel is available at Peat's Ridge so fill up before you meet up. This later departure time allows for those of you coming from further away. We will then head through the Watagans, Maitland and Morpeth, Karuah, Buledelah (for lunch) then some great gravel country backroads to Gloucester for the night (book your own accommodation). Dinner at the Roundabout Hotel.
On Sunday after breakfast at Roadies Cafe we will head back a different way with a few deviations. The ride will finish where we started at Peat's Ridge or sooner (depending on the group) in time to get you home at a reasonable hour.
Bike: Suitable mainly for adventure bikes but well set up enduro bikes are a possibility. You must also be prepared to fix your bike if it breaks down or gets a flat - but help is at hand and we won't leave you behind.
Road conditions: sealed roads and open gravel firetrails, no single track.
Distance: Saturday approx; max 340k's. Sunday:similar
Fuel: there are many fuel stops so fuel anxiety shouldn't apply.
